Paul Vernon announces his retirement at the end of 2027

DENVER – June 22, 2026 – Paul Vernon, chief executive of Leprino Europe, a subsidiary of U.S.-based Leprino Foods Company, has announced he will retire in December 2027. Over a distinguished career spanning more than 40 years in the dairy industry, his leadership and strategic vision have made a lasting impact on both Leprino and the wider U.K. dairy sector.

Paul joined Leprino in 2023 following its acquisition of Glanbia Cheese, where he had served as Chief Executive since 1995. He played a pivotal role in establishing the Glanbia Cheese joint venture between Glanbia plc and Leprino in 2000, laying the foundation for a long-standing partnership that ultimately led to the acquisition.

Over the past three decades, Paul has led the transformation of the business into one of Europe’s leading mozzarella producers. His vision and commitment to excellence have driven innovation, strengthened operational performance and fostered enduring partnerships across the value chain. He has been particularly instrumental in building trust with customers, milk suppliers and industry partners—positioning the business for sustained growth and success.

“Paul Vernon has left an indelible mark on Leprino through his leadership, vision and unwavering commitment to excellence. We extend our deepest gratitude for his invaluable contributions and the enduring legacy he leaves not only within our company, but across the U.K. dairy industry,” Lance FitzSimmons, Leprino President & CEO, said.

The company also announced that Doug Brasier, Leprino Vice President, Controller, will succeed Paul as Senior Vice President, General Manager Leprino Europe. He will be relocating to the U.K. in January 2027 to work alongside Paul and the European management team for a smooth transfer of knowledge.

Since joining Leprino in 2011, Doug has held several leadership positions across Corporate Accounting, Operations Finance and FP&A Operations. Doug has been a valued partner to the company’s operations and leadership teams and brings extensive experience, strong business acumen and a deep understanding of Leprino’s core values and customer-focused approach.

He also brings strong financial and operational leadership experience in both the U.S. and international markets. Doug played a key role in the strategic planning and integration of Leprino’s Europe and Brazil businesses. He is known for his analytical rigor, collaborative leadership and ability to turn complex information into practical, actionable insights.
